Concrete Cancer & Corrosion

Thanks to the coastal environment we enjoy on a daily basis, corrosion and conrete cancer is a real problem here in South East Queensland.
There are several causes of concrete cancer, free chloride ions diffusing through the pore water of the concrete, carbon dioxide reducing the alkalinity of the cement and so on. Unless the problem is chronic, it is usually treated in the same way. This means mechanically removing deteriated concrete to expose the offending steel, cleaning the steel up to a "bright" condition, then repairing the void with a quality repair mortar.
There are numerous patch repair systems on the market and Rope Access & Rescue are competent using most of them. Our concrete reair technicians come from a rendering background with a keen eye for detail. They have the ability to ensure you would not notice your concrete has been repaired.
Rope Access is a great way to keep on top of your repairs without letting them get away and become a major problem and a major expense.
